Finally I have layout a book for my customer or created a flyer. As we usually handle it today, I won’t print the work and send it via mail to my customer. I rather make a PDF-File and send it via e-mail. Everybody can read the PDF-file via Acrobat Reader for free. Read more

Nun habe ich als Grafiker für meinen Kunden ein wunderbares Buch umbrochen oder einen Flyer gestaltet. Wie es heute so normal ist, drucke ich mein Werk nicht aus und schicke es per Post … ja so wurde das früher gemacht, sondern ich erstelle eine PDF-Datei. Sunday morning, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, my neighbor sets the barbeque on fire and me my brain. My thoughts are wandering. My son uses to say: “Oh I am thinking about this and that!” Pretty unspecific and right in a certain way. So next weeks schedule comes to my mind, I get a certain desire for fresh buns and then: “Who gave me flowers last time?”

Es ist Sonntag morgen, die Sonne scheint, die Vöglein singen, der Nachbar wirft den Grill an und ich mein Gehirn. Worüber denke ich nach? Mein Sohn würde sagen: “So dies und das!” Das trifft es irgendwie. Der Wochenplan für die kommende Woche wabbert durchs Hirn, die Idee nach frischen Brötchen poppt hoch und dann: “Wann hat mir denn eigentlich das letzte Mal jemand Blumen geschenkt?”

Traditonally May 1st in my family started with the words “Good morning, it arrived!” My dad used to greet us this way. Even after we knew what he was up to, we had to ask: “Who?”
With a bright green he used to say: “May – it has arrived!”
